The peanuts
December 23, 2008
These two were add-ons for the school pictures, one a little sis and the other from one of the school’s playgroups. Oh man, I just love what I do!!

And the last class….

Seriously – these kids were so flippin’ lovely to be around! I’m kinda sad not to be going back this next week….

I kinda can’t wait til next year!!
What can I say?
December 14, 2008
I almost scooped them all up and took them home with me.
Here are the littlest ones for picture day….

Here are some of my favs from the first of two kindergarten classes….

Okay, okay – I gotta stop! I think I’d post one pic of every kid – I seriously have a “favorite” pic out of each set. Goodness – beautiful light and great kids = a fantastic day!
My girl’s grade
December 10, 2008
What is it they say about the cobbler’s children? Well – my kid was an awful picture-taker for school picture day! LOL. I got at least four good shots of each of the 22 kids I photographed, with the exception of MY kid. Haaaaa.
But I got some lovely shots of the other kidlets…

(Haa – just noticed the food stain – this was directly after lunch. I might need to go back and remove than, hey?!)

Tomorrow and the next day I’ll be hanging with the littler ones – I’m so looking forward to it! What a wonderful bunch of kids….
School portraits
December 10, 2008
I had the opportunity to do school portraits for my daughter’s school and my, what fun! I started with the Grade Two/Three and they just seemed so…..old! I know they are only one and two years older than my girl, but what a difference.
Here are some of my favorite photographs:

Things went quite smoothly and much faster than I thought – even kids who I know well who usually ham it up on overtime when I have my camera out were sweet and genuine. So much fun!!
The dark comes early
November 19, 2008
My daughter’s school does a Lantern Walk each fall, as the dusk comes earlier and earlier.
It’s a tricky time of day to take pictures sans a tripod, but I’m there first and foremost as a parent, and so I fore-go the clunky extra equipment and try to keep a steady hand.
